Thanks, Mike. Tried hitting tank as you suggested and nothing. It does however sound like I hear a buzz from the pump. I am not assuming it is working by hearing the buzz sound.

What I also did was check for voltage at the pump (while plugged in, and a helper cranking engine) and got just over 11 volts. This tells me the relay should be fine (or I am assuming here).

To help rule out the fuel filter I decided I might as well replace it, as it is fairly inexpensive (last replaced 12k miles ago) I took off the fuel filter and was able to tell that it wasn't clogged. I also started the car while trying to catch gasoline with the filter connected to the upstream line and disconnected from the downstream line. No fuel coming out.

I feel by doing the above leads to the fuel pump, however, I wanted to post this for any last feedback before replacing the pump (it is already ordered, RockAuto, and will be here Thursday).

HIGHLY unlikely its the filter. Clogged filters only usually give performance issues.

But based on the age and mileage of the car, it would be a best guess its the fuel pump.

Fuel pump went out on my SSEi at 220k miles. Started a little slower than normal, about one month later would not start at all in a parking lot.

Yes, make sure you test for power at the harness outside the fuel tank....disconnect harness, and attach a test light to the fuel pump circuit, terminals B and C........turn key to on....will light for 2 seconds....crank vehicle, will be on steady......if it does, you need a new pump.....access to the pump and harness connector is in your trunk.....

All, thanks for the help on this thing, I have had the car running for about 2 weeks now by replacing the fuel pump. I ordered the ACDelco fuel pump from RockAuto (strainer build in). Replaced it and everything worked (there are other issues, but I will start a new thread on those).

Thanks for all the help, and I hope this thread helps others in the future.
