Default 2000 Bonneville Randomly Dies

Ok, so I have been having the above issue for about a month now. It hasn't been a big deal (likely still isn't, just bothersome if I driver her 100 miles away on a road trip). The car will randomly die with no codes thrown. I can throw it in neutral (one time this did not work, had to put in park) to get it started right back up. Then on my merry way. Some symptoms of this:

1. It "seems" to be happening when I let off of the gas and am coasting.
2. It "seems" to be more prevalent when the engine is cool.
3. It happens while idling in the driveway or while moving.

Things I have done, as well as recently:

1. Change LIM Gaskets last week (this was happening prior to this change). With the change I changed nearly everything else that was off (plugs/wires/coolant flush/cabin filter/oil/oil filter/SC belt tensioner).
2. Changed crankshaft position sensor.

I've searched around and found some interesting things to try, but thought I would post in case I am missing something. My next step was to check the fuel pressure (while the car is dying). I am on my second ICM in 2 years so my mind thinks I should check that too (not sure how to check it with an intermittent issue). Any other ideas are appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks, Mike, I have ordered the part to see if that resolves (should get it tomorrow).

A new symptom arrived this morning...car won't start (just turns and turns)...

I am hoping replacing the IAC valve could cause a non-starting issue, has anyone seen this?

If you hold the throttle down just a tad while cranking, and it starts, then its the IAC. Sometimes you have to feather the throttle to keep it running.

If that new IAC does not fix it then try as Russia is suggesting, disconnect the MAF sensor and try to start it.

Thanks everyone for the info. I tried as Mike suggested with the throttle and nothing, tried disconnecting the MAF, nothing.

I am out of town over the weekend and won't be around to fix, but when I get the IAC (supposed to be today, but I'll be gone) replaced I will report back and see if anything else needs to be done.

IAC valve came today. I was able to put it in, but still nothing. I'm going to probe some wires leading to the ICM to see if I can find anything (won't be until next week). I'll circle back.

If anyone has some other items to check, I'm all ears...

Do the basics.....check for spark, fuel pressure and injector pulse.....

Just for ha-ha'*, try spraying carb cleaner into the intake and see if it starts, and keeps on running as long as you spray............

Ok, I finally got back to looking into this. Here is what Inhave done:

1. Checked for spark and there is spark between the wire and plug (used a spark tester, that flashed).
2. Checked fuel pressure, registered at 0 PSI.
3. Started car many times while depressing the as Schrader valve on the fuel rail and no gas "squirting". Only once I got about a ml of fuel.
4. Checked fuel pump fuse, good there.

This leads me to believe the fuel pump is bad. I want to make sure it isn't the realy, is there an easy way to check that?

Lastly, is there anything else I should check before I decide to replace the fuel pump (I want to make sure that is it before I do that work)?

Hit the bottom of the tank with a hammer while someone is trying to start it.
