My issues.

Had the intermediate shaft replaced...30K mi.
Both rear shocks blew out (84K mi). just blew for no reason, on smooth highway
driver side front wheel bearing
front struts replaced (80K)
passenger front door interior trim, "creaks" while driving and usually when cold, until you pull on the slot area (pull toward driver side)
sunroof bolts wont stay tight, put loctite on them, fixed
Stereo backlighting right side failed last week (84K mi)

2000 SSei, purchased new, used as highway trip car only...FOR SALE

I bought my car brand new from dealer in 2001 and these are all the problems i have had to date and this car is about to roll over a 100k miles.
Outer tie rod ends on both sides
Paint bubbling on the hood on the very front edge toward the center
Both rear windows ( i actually fixed this myself and found it to be a simple fix if anyone interested)
Both front wheel bearing ( driver side twice now)
Climate control system ( air conditioner never would get cold)
Front brakes 3 times within the 36,000 mile warranty( i did the 4th replacement myself and spent the extra cash for the better pads and rotors)
Trunk lid leaks( found 2 gallons of water in the well for the spare tire)
rear stabilzer bar driver side
lighter in the ashtray only worked for a brief time
dash lights for the radio and climate control system work periodically

And just yesterday i changed the oil and noticed that the oil pressure gauge is maxed out now. This why i am truly here, to find something on this subject to see what i need to fix

Thanks for the info. My 03SSEi last night just started to leek coolent. Noticed at a stop light when the steam came rolling out from under the hood. A quick look with a flash light and I could see moisture on the firewall side exhaust man.
I am confident that the intake is warped and needs to be replaced.
I am thinking of getting a Doorman intake kit from PartsTrain on line. Anyone have any thoughts?
I also have noticed the brown sludge in the radiator cap area so I am flushing the radiator first. Then doing the job myself in the parkinglot of the condo unit. (Unemployed right now) Used to be a Helicpoter mech. Have all the tools so.
I am also thinking while I am at it to increase the pully on the supercharger. I have stock now can anyone suggest whare to go to, I see mods at 3.4 . I have found pullies 3.2 but not 3.4. And do you like the boost you get from the 3.4? Thanks Tman

I would attack the Oil Pressure Switch on this since lots of these 00-05 Bonneville has this issue. Is about $50-60 at the dealer.

Lower intake leeking. Cost to repair at the dealership with two new belts, coolant flush and oil change (mobil 1) $1256.00

I have no place to do the work nor the time, this really gets me because I like to do the work but in an apt. complex with no garage you pay the big bucks.

All that work is a piece of cake... If you live close to me, i am willing to do the work with you so you don't cough up $1200. I live in apartment complexes too and still do most of the work on my car except for tires and exhaust work! I think you can do all the work your self bro. I can get you all the step by step instruction on how to do the work. All you will need is the tools. Let me know if need something..

I can do the work been wrenching on cars since 16 when I rebuilt my 76 Impala from the ground up. Got that sm block 350 to top out at 145mph. Not to safe with bi-plys on it. LOL
I was a helicopter mech. in the army also.

Just an update to estimated job expense for the common issues, I bought 2 wheel bearing/hub assemblies from a seller in Toronto, ON for $74.99 ea + $14 shipping and I have seen them as low as $44.99 ea + the same for shipping such as this link here (Most likely will be dead by the time many see it but do a search, it'* worth it). This job should NOT cost you $350-$500 + labour, so if your into keeping a little of your money in your pocket, buy them yourself and pay someone else to install if you don't want to do it yourself, you will still save a bunch. Install isn't that time consuming. A small shop quoted me $225 a piece and GM wnted about $350 ea. INSANE! They work just fine
