Default Aftermarket CD/DVD LCD Audio/Video System?

Has anyone out there with the newer generation bonnies put an aftermarket audio/video set-up in? I'm not talking about changing speakers or anything (my stock are fine for me) but I was thinking of putting an aftermarket head unit to replace the factory one. The one I"m looking at getting is between a Pioneer AVH-P6450CD or the Kenwood (VZ7000N). They're both in-dash CD-players with a 7" LCD screen that comes up and opens up for DVD play/navigation play. I'm wondering if anyone'* done this because I know I"ve heard that because of On-Star, if you take out the factory unit you have to have some sort of bypass or something so that On-Star will work wtih your aftermarket unit.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

Jason

Default Bose

IF you have the Bose system I believe you have to change your speakers also. I have been told it is all or none with Bose. It is because Bose uses some weird impedences for there system. I am not sure about the OnStar.

My boy who installs **** at Best Buy said that they do have to use the original radio and stuff like that when installing but they cna just run a connector to it and install the new one in your car.
