exhaust tip removal
Ok, I've read on here and have seen that the original exhaust tips on (for example) my 2002 SSEi tend to corrode and fall off. One of mine did, so I removed the other one - it broke without coming completly out. So my quest is, how do you remove the rest of tip (part that slips into the tailpipe) 2ndly I've seen that nobody seems to know where to buy OEM replacements - or does everyon just like the looks of aftermarket?

I like the stock tips over after market and that is a good question, can you get new stock tips?
I have seen a few used sets available here.
And I dont know if you can get that piece out, probably if the rust is that bad the tip fell off you wont be able to get it out......could try a slide hammer and hook?

The interesting thing to me is the tailpipe is steel (or some alloy) and the tip appears to be aluminum or magnesium etc.- in any event, its a metal that doesnt 'rust' - the tailpipe doesn't look rusted either - but I suppose since the tip corroded it is probably seized in there pretty good. Thanks for the reply, I don't have a slide hammer - but depending on the replies here I might go looking for one from one of my buddies.
