i need to get the dash off my 04 bonneville. its got 2 screws above the gauges but they dont spin or have any markings. i need to know how to get that off. they may snap off but i dont want to just rip it off. does anyone know how to get it off, or know somewhere i could find out?

Push in the center pin, and then pull the outer keeper down. The entire assembly will pull out.

Yes there are only two that keep the upper dash ring in place over the dash bezel. The rest of the dash insert will need to be popped off.

The dash may not have been off before. The center of the pin assembly, needs to be pushed in about 1/4. Once those are in, you'll probably need a very thin flat screw driver or a knife and get under the outer assembly of the pin until you can get it to come off the dash. Some needle nose pliers can be used to wiggle it free. They are pretty fragile assemblies, so don't get to aggressive with the pliers.

Check out this thread. It may not be completely related to what you want to do, but there are pictures that illustrate how to remove the trim around the instrument cluster, radio and climate control.

Also, here is a new Tech Info article on these retainers. Hopefully it will help.
