Default bad motor vidrations above 1500 rpm, any ideas?

my car drove fine last wednesday before i went upnorth then it sat till today, I took a 5 minute drive to drop someone off and on the way home i was getting a bad vibration over 1500 rpm. i gave it more gas and there was a real lack of power, I limped home and looked under the hood and the motor was really rocking back and forth, so much that the intake tube came right off. the car is a 2000 with only 65000 miles, any idea what the problem is? I'm guessing motor mounts.

Do you feel the engine move under load?

Try and power brake the motor and have someone watch the mounts

Leave the car in park, and then start rocking it back and forth. You will get the engine rocking. Then look while doing this at the engine mounts. You will see real quick which one is bad. Having a helper and a flash light helps a lot.

The common issue here is the front mount. It looks like a marshmallow.

I forgot to mention that it threw a code at the same time this happened. I just had it scanned, it was a cylinder 4 misfire. The vibration wasnt as bad in the morning but still noticeable, the when i started it to drive it into the shop it ran fine. I think its all good now but i might put new plugs in.

Probably could use plugs and wires.

Normally I'd think you could get more out of a set. You got a code for a #4 misfire. That'* either a coil, wire or plug. The wires and plugs are more common.

No matter what..if you are driving a bonneville, it'* at least 6-7 years old.

Sure it could have.. But you didn't mention the history therefore I went off the most common things. If there'* history, then I'd aim for that first.
