Default '02 SE won't start.....HELP

Here'* the story. I'm sitting in the drive thru at Burger King today and my car'* idling along fine and then all of the sudden it starts to chug and dies. I start it up and it dies instantly, repeatedly. A couple of times it idling long enough to get into gear, but dies right after. This is how I got it out of line, had to start it 20 times. Has not given me an SES.
Things that might be part of the issue. I changed oil on the car yesterday, car has 250,000 miles on it, I've never changed the fuel filter or pump. I filled it with gas this morning, it was -5 to -15 degrees all day today.
Long and the short is, the car seems to start just fine every time, but dies immediately after. It will not start at all with the gas pressed.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Plugs have about 50,000 miles on them. I had been receiving codes a few months ago which prompted me to buy a scanner. Codes caused me to change MASS sensor and thermostat and codes quit for quite sometime and the car has been running fine.

nothing is showing up in the scanner now?

you said you got gas, maybe some water is in the gas? it would sink to the bottom and be sucked up by the pump unless you shake it around good

Unfortunately, I live 50 miles away from where the car is. I left it for the night figuring I'd bring the scanner tomorrow. No SES, though.

Sounds like a fuel problem. Get a fuel pressure tester. Your filter is either clogged up, the the pump is going out. Either way, it'* your fuel pressure.

Totally easy, not sure if your year is the same as this, but have a look. https://www.gmforum.com/t279787/

About $10 for the filter, and 20 mins of your time

What'* the easiest way to tow this thing with a strap? Can I wrap it around cross-members in the engine compartment or what do I or where do I hook up? I'll need to pull it about 5 miles to get it into a heated garage.
