Default 01 sunroof sagging

The trailing edge of the sunroof on my 01 SLE often doesn't sit flush with the roof. If the sr is lifted into the vent position where the trailing edge is up, then closed, it sits in place correctly. Retract the sr then close it and the rear edge doesn't go up all the way, seems to sag maybe 1/4". I haven't 100% confirmed it yet, but I think even when it closes up and sits properly, it sags down after a while when driving.

Any thoughts? Simple adjustment? *hopeful*

Is the sun roof leaking?

Mine is not flush flat between the front and rear either.

If it'* leaking at all, it isn't much, I haven't noticed any water anywhere inside. I did notice yesterday that when I closed the door, the sr dropped that little bit into the non-flush position. I suppose if it'* not leaking then it'* no biggie, but it sure is annoying to look at!

hey i had this problem too it just needs to be adjusted. close the sunroof, open the shade of course and look up at the left and right sides of the sunroof from the inside. there are two torx screws on each side that hold the glass onto the track as well as allow for adjustment. loosen all the screws a bit and with the sunroof in the closed position, adjust to where you want it and then tighten the screws down.

I also have the same problem but for the last 2 years i've been adjusting it but now its maxed out and the glass has sunken below the roof level. is there an adjustment behind the headliner that can be tightend or does it just have to be replaced now?

You just may need to replace the weatherstripping. I would try that before replacing the whole assembly.
