So, I have had this pesky code for about a month now. About a month ago I cleaned the MAF, all was fine and it felt like the idle was better. Then about a week later it came back, cleaned again and light was off for about three cranks, and then back on.

I just cleaned everything on the battery terminals. I also recently replaced the LIM gasket (light was on prior to that job). I have started the car, it idles, but a litter jerky, then unplug the MAF, and no change, but car keeps running.

In addition, about once a week while coasting, the car just shuts off (I am assuming this is due to the MAF) but starts back up with no issues.

I have attached some pictures of my MAF, if that helps.

My guess is the MAF is bad, but before I replace I thought I would ask the forum the questions below:

1. Is there anything else I should be checking besides the MAF?
2. Any other troubleshooting tips (if it indeed could be anything else)?
3. If I need a new MAF, can someone recommend a decent one to purchase?

I went out today and checked the resistance through the wires and across the sensor. The connector showed fine, but the sensor showed open. This to me indicates that the sensor is bad. I am planning to order a new one, anyone have any suggestions on where or what brand to get?

No real suggestions on a brand. Just head to Autozone or whatever and get a new one. Take the old one with you as a cross reference.
