00-05 AC problem cold pass warm drivers EZ FIX
TRY ADDING refrigerant first!
I just got an '01 SE.
I DON'T have dual temperature control on my SE.
Noticed AC was working BUT...
-Only came out cold from passenger side and rear passenger vents
-Didn't come out cold from of the driver'* two vent outlets.
-The air on the driver'* side was NOT hot, but like there was no AC on and just the outside air vent.
I checked some other threads on here and some said it may be the temperature actuator/baffle door thing. I really didn't think i was that because if I ran the heat ALL VENTS turned hot to the same temp in the same amount of time.
I've dealt with climate control issues under the dash on a 93 LeSabre and IT IS NO FUN.
I read on another thread that adding refrigerant to the AC system may fix it.
Since that seemed like the easiest thing to do I decided to get a can of R-134a with synthetic lube and a gauge.
turns out my refrigerant was about 15 psi low.
After I added the proper amount refrigerant the AC WORKED NORMAL!
So try adding refrigerant before going under the dash.
