Default Broken lock on glove box

ok I have given up on the old problem now have a new one Locked the dash last week went to open it and the handle broke so I finally got it open. Tthe the lock wont work and now I have it tied with t astring so how do I replace the lock on the glove box and also what is the part # to order one?

do you need a lock or the actual latch? Tyipcally it'* the latch that breaks not the lock cylinder.

latch and lock are both broke had to actualy rip it open key would not turn the latch broke and the sping was caught soemhow in the lock I cant have a car break teh normal way every car i have ever hasd has been difficult. As far as I can see i need both. maybe if i try the key again but i was to P****d to try again.

Might try to take the lock cylinder out of the latch. I beleive it'* probably a bad latch causing yoru troubles.
