I know the battery, alternator, and coils are all ok. What should I look for on the plugs if the wires are bad....o' wise one.

How do you know your coils are OK? Even when using AC Delco new parts it'* still possible to get a bad one. Personal experience tells me that using "high performance" parts, even those with good reputations, expect a much higher failure rate.

Don't get me wrong. I'm addicted to acceleration & will do anything reasonable to improve it. Remember though, the ignition system on our cars was so sophisticated & such a drastic improvement over anything that was even available on the aftermarket it'* actually hard to improve on. The factory plug wires are more than sufficient to provide exemplary performance for more than 100,000 miles ( if not physically damaged). Just my $.02.

Another possibilty is an ICM that'* just beginning to fail.

I've swapped out the MSD coils and put the Delcos in back and forth a few times to do testing and I still have the hesitation/miss. I was thinking maybe the ICM as well...otherwise wires. But I don't know where to start diagnosing. :?

Hi everyone. I found this sight while trying to find out why my 92 (my second 92) does the stutter, hesitate and won't climb hills thing. I have access to a junk yard and a lot of used parts, so I have had my coil pack changed twice hoping to solve the problem. I'm going to have the EGR valve changed after reading your posts. If I can't get this nice red 92 fixed, I am going to have to move into a green 94, and it is just not my color.

Anyway, I have a basic knowledge of how automotive systems work but some of the posts are way over my head. What is a TCC?
