so i was drivin on the the highway today, doin about 65 and i went to pass a truck and i was at about 25% throttle, and the tranny was acting funny. it was lunging and changing from 2000-2300rpms. but when i gave it more gas, the problem went away. has this happened to anybody before? what might be wrong?

Sounds like it was shifting between gears, if you were at 25% throttle maybe the computer wasnt sure if it should downshift or not. When you gave it more gas it stayed in passing mode.

Please put your year and trim level in your signature.

And consider changing your plugs and wires. That'* a typical ignition problem, and is almost always mis-blamed on the trans.

Agreed. And if not ignition, fuel delivery. How old is your fuel filter? The engine could be starving for fuel.

Stay away from Taylor wires.

AC Delco or Belden Premium.

I had 3 bad sets in a row. 2 bad out of the box. Others did too at the same time, including on other forums.

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=22532

But there'* more. Someone else started a topic on this, and over a dozen of us had premature failures or bad out of the box. Forgot who it was, but he was trying to work something out with PFYC.com and Taylor, and failed.

I won't buy them again.
