I cracked my UIM when putting it back on over thankgiving week. I was wondering if the general opinion would be to replace it before it gets driven much or that it would be safe for a while.

Because I'm cheap....I would run with it for a while, but closely monitor the fluid levels. The first sight of the coolant level decreasing, swap it out for a fresh UIM.
