I have felt the smae thing I think much of the feeling comes from passing the max torque range very quickly in WOT. But if you steadily press you can make good us of ALL the gobs of torque our engine has. At least thats my theory. I love it being able to go up this hill in overdrive at about 2100 rpm (and still able to accelerate before downshifting) and everyone else has downshifted and peged the RPM'* just to keep speed.

Speaking of running rich or lean someone once told me but I can't remember, which is it when the spark plugs have a whitish deposit on them?

Whitish deposit on the plugs points towards lean fuel mixture as part of the possible problems, yes.

If the plugs are too hot, the insulators are whitish. I think something like preignition also has something to do with them being white? But don't know 4 sure.

Rich mixture would be plugs with carbon deposits.

I had horrible gas milage, so i decided to swap my o2. My o2 when i pulled it was white.

I don't know how i was getting less then 15 MPG if the engine was running lean, so i dunno.

Mine looked the same way when I pulled mine. But I don't know if the white of the O2 sensor means the same as white plugs. :?
