The way things are going it may still be sitting there in two weeks.
Actually, I tried jumping again and no dice. But, I am thinking that the battery is so dead it won't take a charge. I tried taking it to Advanced Auto to have them test it is but they said it would take like two hours. So, I now await another chance to test the battery. I am considering buying a new battery and trying that, but of course there is no guarantee.
I suppose there is always the crank sensor again.
I did do the spark test and no spark.
Hmmmm..........

hmmmm....to tell you the truth I didn't notice, but I think so. All of the guages went up some, but the battery gauge only goes up a little bit, just past the first line. The it drops sown into the red while cranking. Honestly, if a new battery doesn't do the trick, I am clueless.
BUT, I did look at a new car today.
Sorry, it'* not a Bonnie but it is a GM
A 2001 Malibu...more on that later.

SOOOO, still debating on buying a battery. HATE the idea of throwing money into a possibly dying car. But, seriously considering trying to save her. Really don't want to let her go.
PLUS, no dice on financing a new car for the moment, and buying another car cash will just buy me more problems.
So, time to try a new battery.
Here'* a thought.....um, what would it do if the motor was seized since I did have coolant leak form the UIM/LIM issues? . I have never heard/experienced a seized motor, not sure what it would be like.
I have warned you I am not mechanically inclined. It sounds like it is trying to turn over, but I don't know.
The good news is I may be able to get it towed for free to somewhere that can look it all over and give me an idea of what I am looking at.
I'll keep you posted.

Do you have a Batteries Plus near you? If not check with your local parts store and see if they can charge and test your battery for you. I would consider this option before paying a shop to look at it and charge you more than what a battery would if that'* all it end up being.

No Battery Plus....local Advnaced Auto will do it but they had a couple of hour wait and I was not able to wait....no transportaition back to get ti.
If I can get there the place I bought it at (I think) can test it. Maybe I'll see about that. Main roblem is I have no reciept, but it is less than a year ago. I thin they are the only place that sells that brand of battery.
I'll look into it and update asap.

Called the Battery Outlet, siad if I can bring it in he will charge it and test it. So, I am going to try to leave work early today to get this doen. I don't know if I'll have time to wiat, may have to go back for it tommorow or on Monday to pick it back up depending on how long it takes. I really hope this will get the car started, then I can get ti somewhere to see what it si going to cost to get it totally repaired.
Now, to get ti to a garage I can trust.
I wish I had some of you knowledgable folk closer by that could actually see it in person and help determine the best action for it.

Just a comment a few posts up: If the motor was locked up, you would hear the starter engage - *Click!* - and then nothing. From what you say, the engine is turning over, but you have no spark. The engine wouldn't be turning over at all if it was locked.

Thanks, that is what I figured but I just wanted to make sure. Didn't wanted to waste time just in case. Going to get the battery tested soon here, hoping to get ti back today so I can mess with it over teh weekend.

Just for the record, I do want to save the Bonnie, jsut don;t know if it is practical.
