Default Exhaust Recommendations Needed

You guys have probably answered these qustions hundreds of times, but I can't find any posts that really help me out.

I have a 96' SSEi and I would like to change the exhaust to get more performance and sound. Right now I have the car stock including the supercharger. I'm thinking of putting on a Dynomax Ultra Flow muffler built for a Camero.

Would this damage anything? or cause any problems? I don't really want to change the CAT out. The only other info tip I have is, the exhaust is 3.25" into the muffler. Any info or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

did u mean the exhaust is 2.25 into the muffler? From what I've heard around here it'* either 2.25 or 2.5 in. A camaro muffler seems to be the hot ticket. Common names are here are magnaflow, flowmaster, and dynomax. Good Luck

Camaro mufflers are almost a direct replacements for the SSE/SSEi'*. They happen to have the same port configuration as the stock muffler, roughly same size, and I believe the inlet and outlets are compatable with our stock pipe as well.

Are you wanting to put new pipe from cat back or just muffler and tips?

Having had the DynoMax muffler on my 94 SSEi I can honestly say this, didn't make a lick of difference for me performance wise, some small adaptions had to be made to fit it, but nothing a decent exhaust shop can't handle, sound pretty good at idle, not that stock doesn't, BUT it resonates like mad when the torque converter locks up at highway speeds, I mean it'* really annoying after a while, my DynoMax rotted out after 3 years and I put a Walker stock replacement back on, I really couldn't handle the noise anymore.
