maf screen removal (93 SE)
Can somebody give me detailed instructions on how to remove the clip around the maf screen? I am trying to get it off to clean it, but I cant figure it out. I dont want to damage the screen.
Thanks,
Andrew

One of these Snap Ring tools Helps alot
then the ring comes right out
then its not fun trying to get the screen out. i just had to keep playing with it with a Knife, and other sharp things. BE VERY careful it dents and break easily.

in a pinch, just hook one of the end holes and pull towards the center while pulling out of the tb. about 3/4'* way it should pop out by itself.. but be carefull of the screen, it is very fragile.

Hey people.....newsflash.....the snap ring doesn't have holes in it. You are SUPPOSED to use a small scredriver. Snapring pliers as shown above would be useless.

i think mine did...maybe its an L27 only deal. I dont remember now that its back on the car. I cleaned the screen, maf sensor, and the front of the throttle body. I also replaced several cracked vacuum lines. Coming friday is a denso (type o.e.) 02 sensor. From the buttdyno, pickup in the mid to high rpm is better than before.
