Default New Grimlin Just Popped Up.

When I went to lock up the car today at work I had to hit the lock button twice before the doors would lock and when they did lock I heard the chime go off. I did this 4 or 5 times and it did it everytime. The doors still lock OK but it got me to wondering if I was getting ready to have more electrically related problems. Is this something that happens regularly on older Bonnevilles and how could I trouble shoot something like this?

What chime are you referring to?

I always have to hit my lock button twice to lock the doors. Looks to me like it just has to be lubed a little to work fine--which won't help your chime problem.

It sounds like you accidently may have resetted the settings for keyless remote entry.. look in your manual to see how to set it... and reset it from there. If tha'ts not it.. let us know...

Here we go again!

Drifter, can you write up the procedure you used for your lit tail? I'll post it up in Techinfo. Enough people have asked about it I think! Staring at your ***.
