Default broken spring on door to fuel tank

The spring on my door to the fuel tank broke today. Is this a serviceble part and how do you get the old spring out? I am going to call the dealer today for a part number, but does anyone out there have one already? (part number). The lock holds the door closed for now, but it is very loose and shakey. This is something I want to fix right away if it is not too much a hassle.

My book just show it as the entire door. held on with two nuts from the back.

GM PART # 25611820
CATEGORY: Fuel Tank Filler Door
PACK QTY: 1 CORE CHARGE: $0.00
GM LIST: $63.33
OUR PRICE: $37.37
DESCRIPTION: DOOR

plus there'* shipping and it probably won't be black as I only see one number, so you'd have to have it painted... Junkyard seems like your first choice here.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. All that trouble when all you should have to do is pop the bad spring out and put a new one in.

I wouldnt go for a new door if you cant find one at the JY.. I would just rig something up to spring the door closed because with a newly pained door it might be a totally differant color because of age and may look out of place.
