Transmission Problems - Code 24
After all the problems Ive had with my transmission cooler lines leaking I finally pulled the codes and I got 24 - Vehicle Speed Sensor. I just patched up the cooler lines again, as I wont have the money to buy replacements until friday. My car still feels like its "slipping" in first but reverse seemed to work okay. I still may need to top off the fluid though.
Where do I go from here with a code 24?

Code 24 is regaurding an issue with the Vehicle Speed Sensor... There are a few factors that can cause such a problem... You may need to know weather or not the VSS has an intermintent problem via a scantoll so that you can monitor Vehicle Speed...
And I think the reason for your slipping is this...
When the Code 24 is set, the PCM will only allow 2nd and 3rd gear, so you are starting out in 2nd gear.... Reverse is manually controled...
Good Luck

The VSS is located in the output housing of the differential, near the RF axle. You may consider pulling it out and cleaning all the debris on it. When mine was changed, it had collected alot of metal material. If this doesn't solve your problem, you may have to replace it.
