Power trunk and antenna
I own a 96 SE and it'* missing the power trunk button but look to have the power mechanism. Checked last night, I'm missing the AUO code, but have a mechanism that looks to be the power trunk release and all I have is a blank in the drivers door where the button should be. I also found the wiring for a power antenna even though I don't have one. Was it ever discovered if the trunk can be wired for power trunk release and power antenna?
Thanks
Michael
Thanks
Michael

If the mechanism is there you can wire in a switch if you wish. You will more then likely need to run wires to do this. I would suggest making up a test switch and try that out before you go threw the trouble of running wires and mounting a switch. If you do this, and are able and willing to take pictures and do a little write up on how you did it. I will be more then happy to post that in the tech info area for others to learn from what you have done. It would go in that area under your name, so you get full credit. If you do this, just PM me about it.

Not sure on a 96, but on my 01 the button for the power trunk release is in the glove box, not on the door.

Ok, I will try that, I'm kinda busy with midterms at the moment but I plan on making a JY crawl in a few weeks for some parts and I'll try wiring it up if it works I'll do a full write up on the wiring.
