Default What is the procedure for removing the evaporator from a 96 SE?

I searched for a step by step on this, but all the links in the threads I've found are dead. Last summber, the HVAC system in my 96 Bonneville essentially collapsed. The compressor was leaking, the actuator arm thing failed, the blower fan failed, and I now believe the evaporator sprung a leak as well. I replaced the compressor, accumulator, etc. (condenser is still good) and have plans to go in after that actuator arm in the near future, but first I have to replace the evaporator. I understand there is some firewall cutting or something involved with this procedure. No problem there since the firewall plastic is currently crumbling and is now held together with aluminum tape...

Anyone have this procedure?

Hi:

Did you ever get instructions on how to pull the evaporator. I need to pull mine on a 97 bonne and was wondering if there are some tips.

Thanks.
