Another thing, before I start the car the lights are dim. I have a brand new altenator and the AC Delco battery and the eye is bright green. Everything is OFF. Then when I try starting the car, the car acts like it don't want to start and then the above statemnts I said happens.

Removing starter
The starter has two bolt that need to be removed...I think you'll need a 10m socket.
Before you do anything remove the negative cable from your battery. Then lift the car and remove the electrical hardness from the starter and then the bolts.
To install just do everything in reverse order and make sure that the starter is aligned and postioned, some new starter might come with shims.
Start the car and if you hear a harsh sound then ajust the postion of the starter. Try to match the gears with the fly wheel.
In 96 I replaced mine and it'* still going. Last month I was driving for 11 hours none stop in Mexico and I had to stop at a check-point. When I started the car again it wouldn't crank until the third try after I pushed the gas pedal. I guess it was my starter which had heated up a bit. Sometime they won't start when the car is too hot...But you can just hit the starter with something hard, e.g., a hammer.

Could be the starter or a problem with the battery/alternator. I wouldn't trust the green-eye. I don't know how you would be able display the amount of current your battery can put out with an indicator like that.
