I know it has been a while since I posted here but life problems come first and they did and they needed my full attention, I will not go into what has happened....

I would like to say THANK YOU to those that have helped me.
I finally fixed my air conditioner problem and I now have full air flow to my dash vents all the time and not just some flow some of the time. I followed the fix with the vacuum pod under the glove box and all is well. I used 7/64" hose and it worked out well.
I didn't have any of the problems that were mentioned earlier about trying to get the nut or bolt out to acess the pod, I didn't see any bolt or nut, but I looked at the pod and figured out that it can be removed without the nut or bolt removal and it did.

And in case anyone wanted to know, there are 5 hoses, 1 inbound (purple)main vacuum from firewall and 4 outbound to vent, floor and defroster doors.
All 5 hose pods were 60 to 100% blocked.

wow, thats a lot of blockage. well, its good to hear she is doing better, and even better to know that you are back.

Glad to hear you found a solution. Was this blockage where vacuum lines enter the HVAC programmer?

Nope, this is what I did, just like the picture.

Well, there is a vacuum line "connector" usually located right where the cable tie is in your pic. That'* where they enter the HVAC programmer. I should have been more specific.

How did you connect [splice] the lines together? I see that they are cut. The purple line in my 93 was pulled out of that connector and was globbed with some kind of sealant. It'* working OK but I would like a more reliable connection.

I cut both sides of the pod and then I cut 7/64" hoses into about 2" lengths and then forced the pod hoses into the 7/64" hoses, that is the hardest thing to do, you don't have much hose to work with on the controler side.

Im a few days late, But, HOOOORAY... Doesnt it feel gooooood to have done this....
