Default Exhaust manifold compatibility

Do all Series II L67s have the same exhaust manifolds? In particular, I'm interested in knowing if '97 to '03 W-body mainfolds would fit on my 97 H-body?

Cheers,

What part interfered with the tranny dipstick? Was it the downtube, or was that only with aftermarket headers? I believe the manifolds themselves should fit, as long as it is the same engine.

Would Manifolds from a Series 1 NA,fit a series 1 supercharged engine?

Series II manifolds changed several times over different years and models from 95-current production. Don't count on them fitting.

I posted some trivia awhile back about the number of different times......here'* the link:

oops. We seem to have lost a bunch of the trivia games in the crash last year.

Trust me, there'* alot of different part numbers.

I would think that H body manifolds for Series 2, both NA and SC, would bolt on the same. I'm waiting to get a set of ported manifolds from a L67.
Wren and I hashed this out one night, I think there were at least 7 part numbers for manifolds from 96-99. One point Bill made about them is headers would normally be a universal fit, so it would be logical to guess that a set of manifolds from a 02 SSEi would also fit a 00 SSEi.
None of this is solid fact, just a lot of guessing with good reasoning.

Thanks for the input guys, though this is still a little unclear. I would also guess headers would be a universal fit as you would end up changing the downpipe anyway so that'* one potential issued resolved.

Of course the bolt pattern on the head and the ports themselves must have the same spacing. What could be different - the heat shielding, the 02 sensor fitting, the downpipe location and somebody mentioned EGR.

As there are often deals available on ported and coated GP manifolds, I'm trying determine whether this is something to consider. I know the manifolds won't flow like headers, but there'* something offensive to me about paying $700 for headers. If I went this route then I would also have a custom downpipe made and add a high flow cat.

Cheers,
