Honestly I would just go with the factory GM replacements. The lower ends of these cars are solid enough as it is. Plus there is limited options for modifications on the Series 1'* so, most likely, you won't be cranking out enough power to need the "Top of the Line" gear sets. Save the money and just go with the factory replacements.

The top reference, chain from the engine of a series 2
And the bottom reference for the engine of a series 1

Who can knows, these details are interchangeable?
