Default warning system

I find that on my 96 bonnie once in awhile that the system sensor comes on snd says front head light...then goes out right away. Also over the winter it said that I had a problem with the back lights. When I checked them all out they were fine. Once summer came it went out...I do not get it... thinking it was a ground.

Also I am finding that the 1996 bonne is in limbo. What I mean by this is that I have tried to get some after market parts ..and they start at 1997,,,what is with that.

I'd say it might be a bad ground if the warning went off just as you were doing something like stepping on the brake. If you've got a bad ground, the brake-lamp current might backtrack into the taillamp circuit and confuse the Adaptive Lamp Monitor that controls your warning system.

Otherwise you might just have a flaky bulb that'* on its way out. I would just wait until it fails permanently...

I would think that the 96 and 97 are almost exactly the same car.
