Default Walker Catalytic Converter Part # 15817- 96/99 Bonneville

Anyone order a WALKER CATALYTIC Converter - Part # 15817-
For a 96-99 Bonneville
I just ordered one from Rock-Autoparts.com earlier this week- they sent me a catalytic converter with a part # 617414???? and above that a CA/TA/99300/0506- no other writing/numbers- NO BRAND NAME at all-

I called them and questioned them on this- They will call Walker.
I have to wait till Monday to find out from WALKER if this is their part or not.
I have a feeling i'll be sending this part back to Rock-Auto!!!

Anyone have a Walker Catalytic Converter on their 96/99 Bonneville- and if so- is WALKERS BRAND name on it????

Thanks again as usual for any help/response.

I believe Walker makes Dynomax dont they? or is it the other way around? I know theyre affiliated somehow, i just cant remember how it works.

I have no experience with your question though, so this probably doesnt help you at all.

I've purchased Walker products for replacement on other vehicles. There was nothing on the part itself, but on the end of the box, as well as the warranty card, it had Walker'* name on it. The last was probably a good 10 years ago or so. I don't know if it would still be the same or not.

I got my answer direct from Walker- in case anyonelse on the boards orders a Walker Catalytic converter- the part # 617414 is their internal Sub # it cross-references over to the actual part # 15817- They do not put the actual part # on the Catalytic converter,
They told me that Walker uses this Sub # to track the installation and Warranty on the Catalytic converter.
I'm just glad to know that Rock-Auto sent me the right Cat!!!!!

Thanks again for the replies.

Can I ask what you gave for that Cat and is it a hi-flow cat or just OEM replacement?

Its an OEM Replacement- DIRECT FIT- *it is not a High Flo that I'm aware of*.

I paid $151.79 for the actual converter, $8.26 Shipping
I also ordered the Flange gasket ( part#31587)- $3.08

Total $163.13- on line- Rockautoparts.com - ordered from them in the past and so far they have been pretty good with shipping very fast etc-

You can get it cheaper if you want to shop around, but I didn't feel like surfing the net for a lower price from some place I never ordered from before.- ( my own personal choice)

The choice is yours- I wanted a Walker OEM replacement as i've had Walker Exhaust products in the past and they are pretty good with their Warranty.

Let me know if you need any other info on this.
