Default HELP! Are left and right axles interchangeable???

I'm trying to address a front end wobble under accelleration on the 93. The manual states that an impropper toe in/out or alignment in gereral could be one of the causes. In order to get an alignment, I needed to change the struts. Before I started, I pulled the right axle from the parts car and brought it home. It felt like the wobble was coming from that side. I changed that strut and did not find any abnormalities to any axle components. When I get to the driver'* side, I find the inner boot seperated.

Can I use the right axle on the left side or do I have to pull the other axle from the parts car? Are they symmetrical?

What'* involved with replacing the inner boot?

Thanks

The LH and RH will not straight interchange, RH has male splines, LH has female.

Here'* an idea tough... There'* a clamp holding the boot to the CV inner portion, Just swap the outer portion of the CV... Not sure how reliable that would be though, The CV end probably has wear from contaminants.

They are also different length. That'* why we have torque-steer.

You both have been doing your tranny homework. You get an A for the day.

The left axle is in front and the right is in the rear. Note the size difference as willwren has pointed out and the different splines courtesy of Damemorder. (the male end for the right side is taped up to prevent any corrosion)

The crisis is over and the car is back down on all fours again. New struts, left axle and sway bar end links. Now I can get back to the original alignment problem. I swear, everything I touch causes something else to go wrong in this car. The good news is that the parts car is a dream to harvest parts from... very cooperative.
