Default Engine Stalls, Surges and Stumbles after Engine Wash

Well I decided to rinse out my engine bay today to remove the winter salt/dirt that has accumulated. I know in the past when it gets washed under there, it always wants to do this little quivering thing after when drivin between 900 and 2000RPM. Usualyl it goes away. Today, it is the worst, and has been stalling and stumbling badly at low rpms, then after 2700 rpms or so, the car surges. I sprayed soem connectors with wd-40 to drive out moisture. idk what the problem is. I wish I wouldn't have washed it, it drove great before.

is it throwing a code?

best thing for you to do is get some dielectric grease, and some electrical connection cleaner and one by one, remove every electrical connnection you see, clean it, and apply grease. this will seal them all from moisture. this includes the spark wires.

personally, i've never had a problem, and I dont think we've heard much of it.

also, be sure to check your battery cables, clean them and grease them as well.

if that doesn't stop it, at least you eliminated something huge, but it almost certainly has to be water shorting something.

no codes are thrown. after the car warms it, it seems to go away for the most part. when it'* cold (after an hour of sitting) and it is started it does it all over again. The car starts with a slight kick even when warm.

I washed my engine bay not long before I got rid of my bonneville, and ended up ruining 2 coils and the ICM, even with them covered by a plastic bag.
