Default Steering Wheel Volume Switches

I've checked all the postings I could find, because I had the same volume problem, where the volume would go all the way up uncontrollably, until I took the controls out of the wheel. Problem is, when I opened up the controls, the little rubber bumper things in mine are hard plastic, and there appears to be nothing wrong with them.

So my question is, is there any way to find replacement switches and solder them on? I was thinking of pulling the switches off a junked car, but it'll end up having the same problem soon enough.

Thanks for all your help!

Thanks, I already found that link....

My problem is that my little pegs are hard plastic, not soft rubber like everyone else is saying. There'* nothing wrong with them, there'* no mushrooming, no dents, no hole in the center. I think the electronic switch on the circuit board is bad, and I want to replace those.

Anyone know of a source for these?

take it all apart..then hook it up, and try the switches..that will narrow down your problem right there

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

11 hours left for a used set...may have the same problem however.

I have limited functionality on mine as well.

When time is available I am going to try the techtip.
