Default What is this and why isn't it hooked up???

Ok recently I have been having some problems. For one my door locks dont work anymore but that is the second most important thing. When I drive my car after like 30mins it will stall. Sometimes it will start right back up sometimes I have to wait a while before it will come back on. My mechanic told me when he checked it that it runs fine until it gets hot then it cuts off/stalls. My brother in law told me to unhook the overdrive plug and see if that worked but it didnt. When I was putting the OD plug back in I noticed this...... Does anyone know what that plug is, what the big in front of the plug is, and what is it for? Could this possibly be the reason my car stalls.

Intake air temp sensor. Plug it in. The PCM needs it to properly determine fuel mixture.

You should have a very bright check engine light with that unhooked, and set a code 23. If not, replace the bulb in the dash for the check engine light.

The SES light was on a while ago when it was cold but I thought it was just because of the weather. I know the bulbs are fine because the check gages light comes on when my car stalls. Im hoping this was the reason behind my car stalling because I'm running out of ideas, reliable mechanics, and money.

No, that won't make your car stall.

Well that sucks to know, I was hoping I had found a resolution for that. I have had to get the car towed twice and have been back and forth to different mechanics for about 2-3 weeks. Between it stalling and my battery recently starting to die overnight, I don't know what to do or where to start. Everyone says they can find anything wrong with it, which there obviously is. I need to find the problems soon because not knowing is really depressing.

Is the compressor in the middle picture plugged in? If so..that is typically a cause behind overnight battery drain. It'* for the leveling control.
