Default Battery keeps dying...

My battery keeps drying, I already unplugged my ELC compressor because I was aware that it kept running because my rear struts are leaking air. Now when I am near it or while I'm driving I can hear the lock for the gas cap cover clicking... My power locks and seats don't work... Idk what it could be. My alternator is good. Any ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Reach down on the driver side and feel the carpeting... really feel it..if necessary pull it up a little and feel under. Is it wet?

Next I would suspect Remote Fuction Actuator or Body Control Module. But let'* roll on a possible standard leak and wet electrical to start.

If you can place an ammeter in series with the positive on the battery, (ignition off, all accessories turned off) then check to see how much parasitic current the batterry is giving up. You can then start isolation by removing specific fuses one at a time until the parasitic drain decays off. Some examples of fuses to remove would be radio & power antenna, power locks, power seats, ELC compressor and so forth. And yes, as suggested already check for wet areas first.

Yes it is a little wet... didn't surprise me living in Michigan and with our 10 degree weather and 50 the next day kind of routine it'* kind of expect. I had a concern awhile back that all the water could possibly mess something up :( I guess I was right?

What does the carpet being wet have to do with anything?

Water leak. There'* a lot of electronics tucked under our seats that can short out.

How do I go about fixing the issues(power lock, power seats, battery dying) I have? Do the power seats or locks some how stay on from the short or something and keep draining my battery?

First you have to get everything dried out. Not an easy task in the current weather, I know. Try to locate the source of the water leak or leaks and fix them. Often it is old or damaged weatherstripping.

You will need to fix the leak source first, then get the car dried out completely, then see what electrical problems still exist. Sometimes they go away and sometimes you will have to troubleshoot further.

I honestly don't think it'* a leak. I think it'* just from the snowy weather and it being tracked in on shoes and such... my floor mats weren't exactly the best ones to use for the winter which I figured out awhile back, which was already too late. Being plastic basically they didn't absorb any extra water...

Would turning the floor heat vents on a high temp and getting the car hot be a good way to dry it out or no? It'* rather cold here still, with no snow so I can't exactly air it out or anything.
