Default Confused in Spark Plug Land

At 112K I figured it is time to change the plugs on my wifes '96 Bonneville N/A 3800 series II. Much to my surprise the service manual calls for 41-606 plugs, the owners manual calls for 41-921 and the parts stores and dealer say 41-101 (iradium). ????? Anyone have any input on this confusing delema?

Do a search and you'll find oodles upon oodles of information and opinions on replacement plugs... but you can't go wrong with straight up AC/Delco'* if you're unsure. I don't know details on the exact model numbers available, but iridium plugs are pretty standard. Someone else can explain the science behind that.

When you do a search on the AC-Delco site

http://www.acdelco.com/html/catalog/index_auto.htm

You'll find it calls for the 41-101
