Default A couple of problems

I am having some trouble with my '94 SSE. First, my cruise control is not operating correctly. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't; and when it does work it will only work anywhere from a second or two to 10 miles, or whenever I have to apply the brake. I found that if I pulled over and re-started my car it would work again, but with the same symptoms. I have tried a new cruise switch/directional control arm and that didn't work. I have been told to next try the modulator. Do these symptoms sound like a modulator problem? Second, I am having TCC lock-up problems. I havn't taken my car to the shop but the previous owner (8 years ago) took it in at 40,000 miles to have the problem diagnosed. My milage is now 147,000. Is there any sort of additive or "quick fix" I can try or am I *.o.l. and have to get my transmission replaced? Thanks in advance to whoever can offer me any help or insight.

Jr, did you notice the Cruise AND TCC lockup problems? Sounds like a TPS to me. Very much.
