sluggish after tune up
A few weeks ago i did a tune up on my dads 1998 bonneville SSE, i used NGK TR55'* gapped at .60, and bosch wires, now i know that bosch products dont work well with 3800'* but my dad insisted since they were only 16.99. Now the car runs very sluggish and after it starts i have to rev it up a bit to keep the RPMs from going below 1000, or it sounds like it will die.Does anybody have and suggestions as to whats going wrong, even though i feel that the wires are whats the problem.

I have cleaned the throttle body as much as i can without removing it, i also cleaned the mass air flow sensor. It is sluggish all the time, the car had AC delco iridiums in it for more than 100,000 miles and during that time it had some BALLS but now its very sluggish and unresponsive.

This may sound silly but check that the wires are wired correctly (Ive missed wired it before and running on 4 cylinders sounds alot like sluggish operating). If you have an ohm-meter check that the impedences are consistent.
I agree will Bill, throw the old ones back on and see what happens.

The old ones were ruined and were thrown away some time ago, ive checked over many times to make sure the wires are on the correct and they are. Could it be possible that i gapped them wrong, when i gapped them i used one of the dial gappers not a feeler gauge and i know that they can sometimes be inaccurate.
