grinding type of noise,
this has got me puzzled, i've got a grinding type of noise and i can feel it in the steering wheel, but, when i turn to the right it stops grinding,, when it is going forward and to the left it makes this sound/feel.. i drive it slow and twitch the wheel to the right,,, goes away, as soon as the wheel straightens out the noise returns?????? any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.....thanks.. Only when moving? Could it be your brake pads are worn? My old car had really bad front brake pads when I got, and behaved in a similar manner.
Other than that, I'd guess a wheel bearing.

Hub bearing. Replace it now and save yourself the expense of putting in an axle. Keep going and it will eventually freeze up and cause havoc.
