Default need some help guys

i have started to change the do the timing chain on my 92 p/a. i have the hb off. i have all necessary bolts off. i have the timing cover completely loose and free from the block. well sort of.

i am held back by the pipe that goes from that timing cover/plate, to the heater core hose. there is a p/* line thats in the way. and its rusty, i dont want to mess with it.

ant tips on getting that pipe free?

I feel your pain on the rust...

Maybe consider taking off the PS pump (not the lines), and just setting it aside out of the way? I'm assuming that the line is attached to the pump, and that if you move the pump, the line will not be in the way anymore. Also assuming that there'* enough flex in the rubber portion of the line to move it around a bit.

that might work, but i would rather take the heater tube off, if i can. ill prob take the ps pump off as last resort.

thank you for the suggestion. it just may come down to that.

Removing the PS pump and swinging it out of the way is common practice. The bolts holding it to the accessory bracket can be accessed through the holes in the pulley of the PS pump itself.
