94 and 95 H-body computers do not have a good track record. Mine failed by unexplained stalling that increased in frequency until it could no longer be overlooked. I bought a junkyard PCM for my '95 $35. It fixed the problem but only lasted about 6 months. I tried two cheapo reconditioned PCMs from O'Reilly for about $40/ea. Both set multiple false codes and never functioned properly. Then I bought a PCM reconditioned by Cardone for about $100. That one was good from the plug in and is now about a year old.

Another thing to consider when several electrical systems go haywire at once is loose or faulty grounds. You need a FSM or a good wiring diagram to show you where they are. Some grounds serve many circuits and can cause very strange symptoms when they fail. When you restore the good ground, all is fixed at once.

Before replacing the PCM, for example, check the ground connection for it near the oil filter to make sure it is clean, sound, and tight. Also, if you haven't already done so, check the ground buses under the kickplates.

Alright, I just checked both busses and they are def. not the cause. They look as good as they day they were installed. I looked at grounds and they appear to be ok but I didn't reference the manual yet so I'll do that later tonight.
Thanks, Bryan

OK, no luck with the grounds, but I'm not sure I got them all either. Those two codes I get on my scanner are:

P0361
Ign System Problem
Elec Spark Timing
EST Not Toggling

P0321
Ign System Problem
18x Interupts Lost
Signal

Also at one point back in January probably the srevice light came on so I checked the codes. A MAF code was set, I didn't write it down and it hasn't come back. Thats like 7 different codes I've gotten.

Next step trying a computer? I'm really baffled here. It'* a really clean car with lots of life left, so I'd love to get this figured out.

Thanks guys, Bryan

Will they give you any kind of warranty on the used PCM? Can you take it back even for "store credit" if it doesn't work?

Not sure, the guy called me back around 430 and said they were going to run the car to make sure the computer worked so I could pick it up tomorrow. I could ask them, wouldn't hurt.

IF it doesn't fix your problem, and you can spare the cash, you might hold onto it as a spare anyway, since there are known problems with those PCMs.

Hope it fixes it for you. Mine failed to toggle when it went bad, too.

Alright,
It appears to be fine as the commute went well this morning... however, a buddy called me with a flat up the interstate about ten miles away so I went to give him a hand. At highway speed it seemed to have a slight skip, very slight may be nothing but an unbalanced tire, but the service engine light came on. I just checked with my scanner and I'm getting the same codes:
P0361
Ign System Problem
Elec Spark Timing
EST Not Toggling

P0321
Ign System Problem
18x Interupts Lost
Signal
Thoughts?
Thanks, Bryan
