Default squeak in dash

hi new here and want to say hi. I have a question. I have a annoying squeak that sounds like it is up in the dash. can this be from strut bearing plates or the struts them selves? the reason I ask this is because they have 209,000 miles on them and they are all original how'* that for long life. if you don't think this can be my problem maybe you have other ideas for me to try. thanks for the help

Does it squeak all the time or did it just start? I noticed a little squeak in mine when the temp got down to 28 degrees. I think temp has an effect on all those plastic parts in the dash. I guess the plastic gets cold and brittle and it starts doing its thing. When the temp is warm outside I don't have a squeak. Just my 2 cents worth.

Hey Aviotor, we are in roughly the same age range. Sure your squeaking is not cming fom you? I know I have a few "squeaky" parts (hip, knees, shoulder) in the cold...

Affirmative. Artheritis is starting to act up. It really kicks in when the temps start dropping.

squeak is there all the time only when i hit bumps in the road. i dont know what to look for and dont feel like tearing apart the dash for nothing. the car has 210,000 miles on it with original struts. if the strus and plates are worn will they make any noise? car still rides ok and to change front and rear struts and bearing plates is like $800.00 i dont know what kind of life i have left in the car to put $800.00 in it but the noise is driving me crazy. thanks
