Trans Shake/ Shimmy
Hi all, I am new here, and I hope I get this in the right section. I have been reading through the posts here and have gathered tons of information. I had the problem with loosing power in the upper rpm range and I fixed that with info from you guy'*. I did the 180 T stat and had to hook up the fans so they run when the ignition is on for now. I will run the switch wire when I install the power wire for my amps. So the last thing I need to figure out is the trans. I bought this car a little over a month ago, and it supposedly has a rebuilt trans and blower. The blower seems just fine, but I am wondering about the trans. Whenever I am driving at 50mph and the lockup kicks in it starts to shake and jerk a bit. I have watched the tach, and the boost guage and they both hold perfectly steady. I have found on here that numerous people have this same type of problem. I have not checked the mounts yet, but I thought I would post anyways. I have replaced the wires, plugs, fuel filter, EGR, did the T-body/ Mass air cleanup, and I am thinking about doing the injectors. The reason for the injectors is if you look at them 4 of them are dirty white, one is bright white, and one is red! I am not sure what flow the red one is but if its to low then I feel it can be my other problem ( a slight sputter when accelerating, and slight rough idle). Well sorry for such a long post but I wnated to get everything out there. Let me know what you think.
