Default Trans problems after rebuild

I rebuilt the tranny in my 93 go to work car. I rebuilt it because I lost 3rd gear and found one set of clutch discs were gone. After the rebuild it worked good the first few times through the gears than it started to slip when it went from 2nd to 3rd. After looking thing over and checking but not doing anything it started working good again. I drove the car to work for the next few days and everything worked great now on my way home it started act up again. During this time the car cut out and the dash started dinging for a second a couple different times like a short. After a couple test drives it started working good again. I don't know if these are two different problems or something electrical is causing tranny problems. I did do the TCC road test that I read on here and it seemed fine. Any direction would be a great help thanks in advance

Double check for any loose, dirty, or broken ground wires is where I would start looking.

I have noticed a pattern forming after driving for a week or so. When I made fast or rolling stops I have a better chance of trans not shifting right, so now sometimes (not always) if I stop and pause for a second you can hear or feel the trans release or down shift. When this happens it seems to shift thru all gears good. I have tried checking grounds but can't seem to find a problem (not that there isn't one). It hasn't cut out with dash dinging this week just radom shifting problem. Thanks for the help
