trans issue... related to heat!?
i have a question for someone knowledged with 92 EGRless bonne'*
early this spring i replaced the tranny for a rebuilt one and it was fine on trips during the cooler spring months but i notice know that on days over 75F and i drive more then an hour that my car jerks around and wont shift up to the next gear. ussually it doesnt act up until i try to push it up to 3000RPMs or more but it does get annoying when i cant accel due to my car acting like that
is this a tranny problem or is it posiblly a engine issue and would trans cool additives help at all
i need to know so i can fix it before it becomes more
p.*. its the 2.83 tranny 4T60E not HD

2.83? Was that your STOCK ratio? If not, that'* at least part of your problem.
We need to know that before going further. Your PCM needs to know WHEN to shift it.
Otherwise, have it flushed professionally.

yes my ratio is the 2.83 ratio not the 3.06 or the 2.97 that the SC has it was professionally changed about 7000 miles ago and it still acts up it only happens on days over 75 and as the air temp goes up the faster i noticve the problem
my engine runs around 200 (not sure if thats normal or not for EGRless engines)so heat transfer might be happening im not sure i figured i ask around and see if anyone might know why this is happening and posible cures to fix it
i also have no check engine light on all is clear on the comp.

If you have a code stored or a light, use the procedure in Techinfo to pull the code and tell us what it is.
Chuggle should not be there with a rebuilt trans assuming an updated valvebody was installed.
If your previous trans produced debris, it may have clogged the very restricted OEM core in the trans, and you don't have any means of cooling your trans. Your year won't report a trans temp through the PCM, but I'm betting that trans is cooking, causing your engine to heat up. Only a trans temp gauge would confirm this.
My trans shop is fully bypassing my radiator core and installing a gigantic thermostat controlled cooler in it'* place for this very reason.
