Where do i get a reman tranny? or whats that website with the aftermarket parts that you woudl ideally have put in for a rebuild?

Hey guys i have a question.... How do i determine if the tranny that was rebui8lt for me is for the SC bonne and has the right gear ratio????? My friend seems to think they put the wrong gear ratio in the tranny...

You would have to pop the diff cover off and pull the diff out and count the teeth on the gears.

How many should there be? what is the correct gear ratio for my car? also what would happen if I had the wrong ratio????

For your model, I am not sure what the ratio'* are. It could be the same as mine(4T60E) But, I swapped my 3.06 and put in a 2.84. Only thing that happened was it shifted sooner than it use to.
The gearheads should chime in soon on your ratio.

Check your RPO codes on the spare tire cover and compare against the RPO list in Techinfo. Here are some....

FQ3 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 2.86
FR2 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 2.93
FW2 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 3.06
F17 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 2.84
F79 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 2.97
F83 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 3.05
GX3 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 3.33
