wow, i cant believe this
ok guys, i have a 1999 ssei, and the worst thing happened.
the belt on my supercharger came off. it is still somehow attatched somewhere i cant see (id have to get under the car). but basically, it is off of all the visible pulleys and i have to lay it on the battery so it wont get caught in the alternator belt. my dad said what probably happened is the tensioner got loose, therefore causing the belt to come loose and come off. so i am wondering if this is something i can fix myself with no new parts needed. it sounds easy right? put the belt back on, duh. but i dont know where to start! i can see the obvious pulleys it is supposed to go on, but i cant figure it all out. anyone have this problem or am i being too vague?

If the tensioner broke you will need a new one, and chances are that the belt got damaged in the ordeal and will need to be replaced, if it does need to be replaced, it would be best to get a professional to do it because the motor has to be partially seperated from the car to do it.

Actually changing the belt isn't that bad of a job, although you want to determine why the belt came off. Check all pulleys for that belt path my wiggling and turning them by hand. If they all check out, the tensioner is suspect and should be checked.
Belt change on Series II motor:
There is a catch and searching the forum will help you find more people'* "How to" threads with pictures...here'* the quick explanation.
Jack passenger front of car and support.
Remove tire
Remove plastic splash shield toward the front of the wheel well.
You will see
[/
Remove the nut, stud and spacer behind the mount. (no need to support engine)
Slide old belt out where the spacer is missing, and put new belt back in.
Route and put new belt on pullies once it is on, then put splash shield back in and tire back on.
