Fuel pressure regulator & fuel lines
92' SSE
are the fuel lines connected to the fuel pressure reg. (with a rubber hose) suppose to be loose or is the line suppose to be accutually connected to the regulator even with the rubber hose around it?

Let me try and elaborate on what has been said.
Your fuel lines come from the fuel sending unit located in the fuel tank. The supply passes through a fuel filter enroute to the front of the car. At the engine the fuel lines are connected to the fuel rail which is also connected to the six injectors. A fuel pressure regulator is mounted in that fuel rail and has a vacuum line going to it from the upper intake manifold (usually a few inches back from the throttle body).

Will,
I noticed when I've been working on bufford the last couple of days that there'* a 90 degree elbow on that vacuum line right on the pressure regulator. Well I noticed mine is cracking, possibly leaking. I should get that replaced. Wonder if that is contributing to my problem? Is that something I can get anywhere (autozone) or do I have to go OEM on that ?
