Hello again guys!

99 Bonneville, 3.8 non supercharged, 58,000 miles.

Searched the forums and couldn't find a definitive solution.
I have a wierd squeak/farting sound coming from right rear strut when I come to a full stop and or push down on rear bumper while parked.
Best way i can describe it is like twisting a balloon with your hands or rubbing two balloons together.....

If i push down medium pressure I hear it everytime. If i stand on bumper and bounce it up and down I don't hear it as much.

Suspension is still firm, brakes are fine.

I climbed underneath to isolate sound and had GF push on bumper. It'* definately the RR side but I can't isolate it anymore due to the sound traveling.

Since the suspension seems tight and I see no fluid leaking, could this be a dry bushing or something?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If that doesn't do it, open your trunk and spray it on the upper strut mount, then remove the RR wheel and spray it on the upper portion of the strut as high as you can get. Hit the swaybar endlinks on both sides as well for good measure.

It wouldn't hurt to just hit it all the first time, although I do agree with Don on the likely culprit.

sprayed sway bar links, pulled tire off and sprayed strut, noticed a wee bit of wetness near wheel cylinder.
Figured for 7 bucks I better replace it and bleed brakes.
Couldn't get 1 of those star bolts out that holds wheel cylinder on and then stripped it so i got the air chisel and 3lb hammer out.
Got bolt off ....
Replaced and bled brakes.
Squeak gone.
pads weren't wet so must have been sway bar.

yep still using them, even if i had right sockets, i wouldn;t have been able to get it and a ratchet on it, not enough clearance... I got some bolts that i could get an open end wrench on.
