Hello all. On the digital driver info screen on the bonnie the low coolant light never fails to come on even though my coolant is at a proper level and has been flushed. The colder it is, the longer it takes to come on. Anyone have any answers?

Another problem is that the lamp monitor says that the middle break light is out, and sometimes it says its on. I'll be at the drive thru holding down the break and the car will warn me, then a few min later its gone. Wiring problem?

the coolant light is most likely the sensor on the passenger side of the rad....remove and clean the contacts of the connector

the middle brake light is the one that is on the rear deck, just make sure that isnt out or going out when the breaks are applied

But I am sure the brake light is going out! The first couple times it ever did it I had my buddies check it out and the light was on. However a little while ago my roomate checked it out and it was out, but another tap on the brake pedal and the lamp would function correctly. Its not the bulb and prolly not the sensor, thats why I say wiring. But I know little about wiring of that sort.

I could be the bulb. Make sure the bulb in the middle light is the correct number according to the owners manual. If the bulb is not the correct one it will cause the problem you are having. I am speaking from experience.

A agree with the correct part number on the bulb, and make sure you clean the socket with something first. Simply replace the bulb in the 3rd brakelight now. Say hello to the black goo for me. (I had the wrong part number in my 93 when I bought it, and it caused the same problem. It looked identical and worked, but had a different part number).

I disagree with Pat'* advice about cleaning the contacts on the coolant sensor. The contacts being corroded would prevent the light from coming on, not cause it. The problem is a buildup of sludge on the face of the sensor typically. Inside the radiator. Clean THAT, if it doesn't help, either disconnect the sensor (will default to OFF on the light if you disconnect) or replace the sensor.

I agree with Willwren and would like to add on the 3rd brake light. Get a tube of dielectric grease. It cleans and keeps corrosion from happening. Most likely you have a bad connection.

However if you are going in.. get the tube of grease, a new bulb and take care of it once. Put the bulb in and remove it about 5-10 times to clean up the contacts. That should fix it right up.
